due to its own characteristics, ac power grid often has power quality problems such as voltage sag and flicker, which make sensitive loads wrong with outage and so on, and cause economic losses and accidents, and with a large number of distributed energy access, this phenomenon becomes more prominent. at present, in our country the power supply reliability of distribution system is 99.99% which means that the annual average time of outage is about 1 hour. while for future power grid, the power supply reliability of distribution system should achieve the target of 99.9999% or even 99.999999% that the annual average time of outage is less than 1 minute or less. how to improve the power quality and reliability of power supply of the power, when it accepts the distributed and renewable energy?in order to solve this problem, this paper puts forward a kind of dc power distribution system with high power quality and reliability of power supply, it introduces the overall structurefunction and advantages of dc power distribution system. the paper puts forward two kinds of schemes that centralized management and decentralized management, compares and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of technical scheme, and analyses the decentralized control scheme. it analyses and puts forward the fault monitoring and protection to earth fault and short fault of dc power distribution system and strategy. through simulating calculation and practice, the dc power distribution system introduced effectively improves the power quality and reliability of power supply of distribution system, which meets the requirements of the users and the future smart grid effectually
